Youth Against ID is a youth movement dedicated to stopping the introduction of a National Identity Card and the National Identity Register. We aim to do this by increasing awareness in amongst our age demographic and by increasing resistance to the scheme. We are a non-violent, non-partisan group and are a part of NO2ID. Youth Against ID is staffed entirely by volunteers.

We believe that an individual has the right to his or her own identity and that it is not the state’s responsibility to record an individual's life.

We believe that an Identity Card and National Identity Register would open the door for an authoritarian and oppressive state.

We believe that the cost of keeping detailed records on everyone in the country and linking it to a biometric card would far outweigh the potential benefits that might arise.

Our aim is to increase awareness of the governments ID cards and National Identity Register scheme to 15-25 year olds
